LEOPARD SPECIALIST!!!

South Africa’s game rich region near the most famous, and largest of all African National Parks, Kruger, is also home to some of the largest Leopards found anywhere in the world.  The outfitter represented by GHR in the area has built his reputation over the past 14 years as one of the top producing cat hunters of today’s modern age! Obviously he is not hunting within the confines of the park, but adjoining areas that have high game concentrations, which equates to high numbers on Leopard.  In the past 12 years he has failed to produce a Leopard for his client only once, and that unfortunate sole was GHR’s own, Aaron Neilson.  Nothing new to him though, as his luck with the spotted feline has been grim over the years at best.  The outfitter has on the other hand, produced several huge leopards for other GHR clients, along with 2 big toms in only 8 days for Corey Knowlton and his wife Amber!!

Although Leopard permits are not exactly over-flowing in South Africa, our outfitter generally gets 2-3 per year! We highly recommend arranging this hunt a year or more in advance, as these hunts are in very high demand! Most generally hunters are able to harvest big male toms, and the cats of this region are very large in comparison to most other regions in which the elusive leopard inhabits! Baiting is the normal mode of operation, with late evenings often the norm!! Hunters are generally required by the outfitter to ONLY harvest male cats as he does not wish to harvest females or small, immature leopards from his area.  If a big leopard is in your future, we highly consider you giving this one a go!!!
