HUNTING INFO:
We are a relatively small outfitter compared with other outfitters in Alaska. We believe we can do a better job for our clients and provide more personalized service on your hunt. Our success on large bears and large moose is second to none in Alaska. We have excellent Dalls Sheep, Mountain Goat and Black Bear hunts as well. We conduct only fair chase hunts for free ranging animals in their native habitat.

GUIDES
We are comprised of registered guide/outfitters and assistant guides. During the moose season we also hire one or two packers, a second pilot and a cook for base camp. You will not be just "dropped" into the wilderness with a "warm body". Our guides are licensed professionals who take their job seriously. We know that our clients are counting on our knowledge, experience and extra effort to provide a safe, successful and enjoyable hunt.

PILOTS & AIRCRAFT
Our bush planes must pass strict FAA maintenance inspections and are equipped with the (Alaska mods) essential for Alaska's remote airstrips. Our pilots are commercial rated with many years experience bush flying and we own our airplanes.
Outfitter and commercial pilot Chad Reel has been flying in Alaska for 19 years, and has thousands of hours flying experience in the bush. Guide and commercial pilot Chris Piatt grew up in Alaska in a flying family and flew a plane before he drove a car. Chris also has thousands of hours flying in the bush.

Having our own airplanes is a very big expense, but we feel that it adds a dimension unique to Alaska and essential in providing a good quality Alaskan hunt. One of our pilots will usually fly by and check on you every other day weather permitting. Most clients tell us that flying in the bush plane is one of the highlights of their trip.

CAMPS
Our base camp for Moose is comprised of comfortable wall tents with wood stoves. This is usually where your hunt will begin and end. We have taken some big bulls near base camp, however you should plan on hunting out of a spike camp as we find this be the most effective means of hunting. Nearly all of our bear hunting as well as all of our caribou, sheep and goat hunting is done from spike camps. Our spike camps consist of a four-man Cabelas guide tent shared between the hunter and guide. Cooking is done with a lightweight backpack stove. Our tents, camping gear, river rafts and equipment are top of the line.

FOOD
We supply a wide variety of meals and snacks. We do recommend that you look over the food list that will be supplied to you when you book a hunt. Let us know if there is anything you would like us to add or if you have any special dietary requirements.

PHYSICAL FITNESS
If you decide to go on an Alaskan hunt, you should take the fitness requirement very serious. You do not have to be able to run a marathon, but you should be able to walk several miles when the time comes. Moose and bear hunts are not as physically demanding as a Dalls sheep or mountain goat. But you should still plan on getting on an exercise program at least four months prior to your arrival in camp for any hunt.

YOUR GEAR
Your personal gear should include warm clothes, a good sleeping bag and a weapon that you are effective with. You will receive a very detailed list of the personal gear you will need for your specific hunt when you book a hunt with us.
